☕️ 1 Bean : Austin Espresso at Its Finest A beautifully dialed-in espresso with outstanding balance. Notes of whiskey, black pepper, and lightly roasted almonds come together in a silky, sweet, and remarkably clean shot. One of the best espresso experiences we have had in Austin. Excellent work from the team at Figure 8 Chicon Street.

Oh no—we tragically ran out of coffee beans for our espresso machine! Since coffee is one of my favorite morning rituals, it gave us the perfect excuse to support another incredible local Austin roaster. We chose Figure 8 Coffee Purveyors, and I was genuinely impressed by the quality, flavor, tasting notes, and variety of beans they offer. The barista was incredibly kind and patient, helping me decide which beans would be the best fit for us. We ultimately brought home three bags: Guatemala, Super Group, and Brazil, and I can’t wait to enjoy each one over the coming weeks. But amazing coffee isn’t the only thing Figure 8 excels at. I’ve now visited two of their locations, and both experiences were consistently welcoming. Every interaction was filled with kindness and genuine conversation, making each visit feel comfortable and unhurried. The cafés themselves are beautifully designed with a simple, calming aesthetic—perfect for settling in with a laptop for an afternoon of work or simply slowing down to enjoy a great cup of coffee. My favorite coffee shop in Austin ❤️. You can smell the wonderful aroma of coffee roasting as you enter. The baristas are warm, friendly and know how to make great tasting coffee. There’s plenty of seating. Come here for a great start to your day.

They do have great quality coffee. One of the best espressos made! $6.99 for triple shot + syrup Very good flavor, both the espresso and syrup! Unfortunately they don’t seem very friendly, not welcoming. Which limits my want to come back. It’s odd, but I only come for coffee! A “welcome in” or “bye!” Is nice too. Haha.

Decent coffee stop hidden in a small neighborhood with a great downtown view. Outdoor seating was perfect for a mid day pick me up. We ordered flat white and an iced lavender coffee. Simple menu with a cozy and friendly feel. Staff was helpful and happy, will keep this on our list.
